About Stimstep®
Stimstep® was created to solve a simple but widely overlooked problem: the need for movement does not stop when someone is asked to sit.
Across classrooms, healthcare settings, and care environments, individuals are often expected to remain still for long periods — despite the proven benefits of movement for focus, regulation, circulation, and overall wellbeing.
When movement needs are unmet, the result is disruption, exclusion, reduced engagement, and unnecessary strain on people and resources.
Stimstep® is an innovative seated-movement solution designed to meet these needs in a quiet, inclusive, and dignified way.
By simulating the natural motion of walking while seated, Stimstep® allows users to move, regulate, and self-soothe without leaving their chair. This makes it suitable for use across the lifespan — supporting neurodivergent children in classrooms, teenagers in secondary education, adults in clinical or workplace settings, and elderly users in residential and nursing care.
Designed with adaptability at its core, Stimstep® features interchangeable sensory attachments that provide varying levels of tactile input and deep pressure. This enables tailored support for individual needs — from gentle circulation and light exercise to calming sensory feedback.
Stimstep® is not a disruptive tool or a temporary solution. It is a practical, everyday support that integrates seamlessly into real-world environments, helping individuals stay present, included, and engaged.
Our mission is simple:
to make movement accessible, inclusive, and acceptable — wherever sitting is required.
Movement doesn’t stop with age — it adapts.
Stimstep® is designed to adapt with it.
